The Bernese Mountain Dog Club of the Greater Twin Cities (BMDCGTC) is an active group of 100 members and growing. We welcome new members to join our group as we work together to support responsible care and breeding of the Bernese Mountain Dog, and continually educate our members, and the community at large, about the unique qualities of our beloved breed.

From novice owners and pet lovers, to experienced breeders and accomplished show participants, you'll find something for everyone at the many club events and social activities throughout the year.

The Club offers two types of membership: Full and Associate. Full Members gain many privileges, including the ability to vote on important decisions affecting the club and sponsor new members, and the opportunity to get involved as a member of a committee or as a committee leader, or serve as a club officer on the board. Full members are eligible for awards from the Lucy Fund.

An Associate Member resides outside the Club's major geographical counties in Minnesota* and Western Wisconsin**. Associate Members may attend club meetings and social events and serve on committees with the approval of the Board. All Associate Members must be sponsored by existing club members.

To apply for Full Membership, simply attend the next club meeting and pick up an application from the Membership chair.

To apply for Associate Membership, please read our most recent Club Constitution then download and fill out completely the Associate Membership Application and our Code of Conduct. Then mail one copy of the documents to your Club Member Sponsors and a second copy to our Membership chair, Lisa Fosdick. Please email Lisa, to obtain the proper mailing address.

*Major regional counties in the State of Minnesota include: Anoka, Benton, Blue Earth, Brown, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Dodge, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Le Sueur, McLeod, Meeker, Mille Lacs, Nicollet, Olmstead, Pine, Ramsey, Rice, Scott, Sherburne, Sibley, Stearns, Steele, Wabasha, Waseca, Washington, Wright.

** Counties in the State of Wisconsin include: Buffalo, Dunn, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, St. Croix.
